报告摘要：Quantum Key Distribution system opens access to quantum based secure networks to consumers by implementing a cheap mass producible handheld quantum transmitter which wirelessly exchanges quantum secure keys with a relatively more expensive “Quantum ATM” or “Quantum Base station”. The keys could be used directly with the Quantum ATM or be exchanged with trusted nodes through a fiber or free space optical network to provide the user with shared key between themselves and arbitrary nodes in the network. In this talk, we introduce a demonstration of handheld QKD for personal financial applications.
报告人简介：Dr. Lai Zhou received his Bachelor in engineering physics from Tsinghua University in 2013. He was joint educated with the department of electronic engineering and received his Ph.D. degree in engineering physics from Tsinghua University in 2018. Since January 2019, he has been a postdoctoral research assistant in quantum communication with the department of engineering science, the University of Oxford. Lai’s research interests span the wide spectrum of quantum communication, from quantum network framework to engineering implementation such as handheld QKD system. His current research is focused on the miniaturization of QKD transmitter and system optimization with the imperfect optical components.
